101 Things to Do on a Rainy Day in Cornwall
Geoff & Sarah, welcome you to their home. A traditional Cornish Cottage Guest House, set in its own beautiful grounds and perfectly situated for visiting all of Cornwall. Positioned in the picturesque parish of St. Agnes with magnificent views across to the North Cornish Coast. Within easy reach of the golden sandy beaches of Porthtowan, Portreath & St. Agnes, close to the A30 (1 mile) giving easy access to the whole of Cornwall.
Towns within a few miles are Redruth, Perranporth, Newquay, St. Ives and the beautiful city of Truro. Further afield, but still within easy travelling distance, you will find Lands End, Penzance & Falmouth with its wonderful Harbour & maritime museum plus many other towns, villages & famous coves too numerous to mention. There are also supberb attractions such as the Eden Project, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. For the more energetic, scenic walks, and the Portreath Tramway (as featured on the recent Railway Walks), in fact, Julia Bradbury and the film crew stayed with us whilst filming.
All our rooms are beautifully decorated to provide a relaxing and comfortable homely atmosphere. Our bedrooms may not be large, (room sizes can be viewed under accomodation) as we have a traditional Cornish Cottage, but we have a large lounge, bar and gardens for you to use. To set you up for the day our superb, locally sourced, Cornish breakfast. We are open all year and licensed with evening meals available Monday to Friday from our extensive menu. Light bites and Cornish cream teas available 12.00pm to 9.00pm every day.
We are members of COAST and also Green Tourism Business Scheme (Silver Award) because we are extremely passionate about looking after our environment and constantly seeking ways to reduce our carbon footprint (Click on link to see our websites Green Policy and responsible visitor charter)
There is ample parking in our grounds, also a garage for cycles and motorscycles and to store surf boards.
This is a Non Smoking Establishment
We are sorry we can not take pets as we have friendly cats & a dog.
